Andy's one of my favorite 'minor characters', he genuinely tries to do what he thinks is right. I imagine, even as a quote-unquote door guard, he sees his fare share of disgusting, horrible things. It's just hard to reconcile that humans are just as horrible when he can blame it so easily on Torchwood and aliens.
