I'm sure you've all heard about Amazon by now. And, to be honest, darling [livejournal.com profile] teachwriteslash puts it far better than I ever could.

Here's what I did:

Photobucket

They're not getting another dime out of me.

You and Thrace have suggested I was eloquent ... Thrace's word. I'm not eloquent ... I am pissed OFF!

I'm the daughther of a Vietnam veteran who sacrificed his health because he believed in freedom and equality.

The idea that this was a "glitch" does not fly ... coding has to be created and approved. There needs to be an apology, and as I suggested when I cancelled my rather large pre-order of TW/DW and other things - a nice donation to LAMBDA would not go amiss.

Love the icon. And yes, you are eloquent, even when you're angry.

Well thank you my dear ... Thrace said the same thing. My RL friends just call it WOT (Wrath of Teach).

I abhor censorship of any kind ... perhaps because I teach literature, perhaps because I write, or perhaps because I just do NOT like being told what to think. I have yet to find anything so abhorent it cannot be read by consenting adults. To I support safeguards to make sure children don't access things they shouldn't - hell yes!, but beyond that ...

Irony noted ... it's National Library Week.

Go read a "banned" book people!
