How did I miss this when you posted it? I love it. It's such a great setup to link into the novel; it was totally believable and not contrived. And there's bonus being-nice-to-Tosh, which is a bonus indeed. I found Jack's reaction very IC, too :) And I was only a little late for work this morning...
