Yukito awoke when he felt a cool touch to his face. His eyes slowly fluttered open to find Toya smiling back down at him.

"Hey," the blonde greeted the other, smiling up weakly.

"Hey yourself," Toya replied, running a cool cloth down Yukito's face. "How are you feeling?"

"Sick."

Toya laughed and squeezed Yukito's hand. "Your fever's going down, though. Go back to sleep, Yuki, get better."

"You'll still be here when I wake up, right?" His eyelids were growing heavy, his vision blurring and fading to black.

"Yeah, Yuki, I'll still be here." Toya brushed, a sweat-soaked lock of hair aside. "I'll always be here.

Yukito's first reaction when he saw Toya sitting next to his bed was shock.

"Your Highness!" the blonde exclaimed, sitting straight up. The sudden movement made his head spin, and the dark-haired prince helped him back against the pillows.

"You're sick, Yuki, you should rest."

"You shouldn't be here."

"I'm taking care of a friend. My status doesn't matter right now."

"But if you get sick--"

"Then you'll have to take care of me," Toya replied, smiling. "Now rest. That's an order."

Yuki laughed at that. "Thank you."

"You'd do the same for me. Sleep. I'll be here."

"These are my children, Sakura-chan and Syaoran-kun," Fai said smoothly, putting a hand on either of the children's shoulders.

"They don't look like you," the innkeeper replied, peering down at the princess and the boy. The old man had been nosy when they had requested only one room.

"They look more like their dear mother, may she rest in peace," Fai replied.

"And that one?" the man asked, jerking his thumb at a glowering Kurogane.

Fai smiled serenely. "You don't expect me to grieve forever, do you?"

The innkeeper sputtered, and Kurogane wrapped a possessive arm around the mage's slim waist.

Strictly to keep up appearances, of course.

Kamui's eyes went wide when Sorata suddenly leaned in and kissed him. He roughly shoved the monk onto the floor.

"What was that for, Kamui?" Sorata asked, propping himself up on his elbows.

"What are you playing at?"

"Nothing. Kamui, I love you."

"And when did this revelation occur? Damn it, what about Arashi?"

"What about her?"

"Don't you love her?"

"Of course. I love you too."

"You can't love two people at once, Sorata! Particularly when you always say you'll die for only one of them."

"Kamui... I'll die for Arashi. I live for you."

Notes: Tomoyo's POV

Once, when I was little, I asked Mom why she hated Mr. Kinomoto so much. I told her that he was a good man, and that Sakura really loved him.

"I know," Mom had replied, sighing. "And I don't really hate him... Well, not anymore."
