If you watch Classic Who, the Doctor is extremely protective of his granddaughter Susan (this is the First Doctor and a bit of the Second). So I figure, it would continue on to Jenny, despite her being his daughter through a strange roundabout way.
And frankly, if it gives you plot bunnies, I'm not complaining!
